Isaiah 58 9-12 (KJV) 9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
When we call, He shall answer! When can be sure of that! How about when He calls…will we answer! Do we say YES Lord! He has called us to follow Him, to yield to His gentle touch, to His direction! He has called us to let our light shine (the light of JESUS), dissipating the darkness! He called us to be a watered garden, to grow, to be fruitful! He has called us to build the old waste places and to raise the next generations with the sure foundation of Jesus, the Word! He calls us to be Repairers of the Breach- breach is a gap, a broken wall! We are the ones He has chosen to share that we are forgiven through the Blood of Jesus! We are the one He calls to relate how we must live in a state of ever forgiving and loving one another! He calls us to follow the example of Christ, to have compassion, to love, with a humbleness! He calls us to restore the paths…through the blood sacrifice of Jesus, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit ….we are taught to love like the Father loves! We yield to His touch and His love fills us to overflowing…flows through us!
Repairers of the breach! The connection? Yes! It’s about being the one who stands in the “gap” who intercedes for the lost and dying world! We must connect with others by His love! Not only are we the “repairers of the breach: in relationship with the Father and with others, we are His vessels to connect heaven and earth! “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done” It’s through us that He heals! It’s through us that others come to know His love! He chooses to accomplish His will through us!
Yes, Father God is the Restorer! But will we allow Him to use us to restore others? Rise up, Church! Hold onto the hand of Jesus, and reach out and grab hold of one crying out from the darkness! Become the connection! Wooohooo!
Father in the name of Jesus, we come before You ready to walk in the fullness of being Your vessel! We desire to become one with each other, to really move and be in unity as a whole, set free, restored people in the Body of Christ! We desire to reflect You, to be Your hands and feet, to be the repairers, the restorers, the connecting ones..to love with Your love! We say YES to Your will and to Your way! We, on purpose, seek You to see what You are doing and join You! We adore You and are excited to see what this year will bring! Amen
