He Shed His Blood at the Whipping Post

Jesus shed blood at the whipping post.
Mat 27:26 “Then he released Barabbas to them. And when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.”
What was redeemed there: Our Health.
It is well known that there are 39 root-diseases in the world, or so legend has it.  When I looked this up, I found out that most experts not only don’t believe this, they are not sure where the idea came from.  But all that doesn’t really matter, it doesn’t change the truth! Jesus paid the price for our healing, with His blood.  He was whipped at the post, probably was given 39 lashes. Each one of those beatings was for the sake of every sickness man would ever suffer. The Bible tells us that He healed all of our diseases, sicknesses, griefs and sorrows, meaning that He gave us a complete and thorough healing of our mind, body, and emotions.
Jesus not only dealt with all of mankind's ailments but He broke the curse of hereditary diseases sent down the bloodline from Adam giving us freedom forever. All who would receive the promise of healing, through faith in His word, will be made whole by His stripes and will be restored by His Spirit.
Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget none of His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:1-3
It is the blood of Jesus that breaks the curse of sickness for us. There is now no disease that Jesus cannot heal. His body was broken so that ours can be made whole!  Jesus also symbolized this breaking of His body in the breaking of the bread at the Last Supper; He was showing how His body would be broken for our healing. So, everyone who receives Him qualifies to receive His healing power. The curse of sickness is broken by His blood!
Isaiah 53:5 KJV “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
The scourge was the cruelest form of punishment that implemented a whip known then as a ‘cat of nine tails’. This whip had nine strands each with pieces of sharp bones and metal and a heavy piece of lead at the end of the cord. According to the law, one could be whipped 40 times but many times they would stop one short of it at 39. Although the Word never says This was because 40 whips were often found fatal. However, the whip left one totally broken. Psalms 129:3 says, “The plowers plowed upon my back…” and Isaiah 50:6 says, “I gave my back to the smiters; and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair.” Jesus went through untold suffering so that we may be healed.  Also notice the tense of that word,- and with His stripes we ARE healed! Not will be, might be, maybe if, but ARE!  It’s a done deal!  We are healed! It may not have manifested yet in our body, but that doesn’t change the truth of the matter!  By His stripes we are healed!
Father, we come before you now, thankful and ever grateful for Your son, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our wholeness, for our healing!  We tell all sickness to go, in the name of Jesus and declare wholeness over our body right now! Thank You so much for loving us, we adore You! In Jesus name, Amen
