I have a young friend whom I dearly love. I met her a few years back and mentored her while she attended River of Life School of Ministry. She is an overcomer and has been an example to many. She got married and adopted four kids, and was loving her life! Then she got the news...cancer, cancer in her ovaries, cancer in her lungs. She has had many months of weekly Chemo and is just about at the end of her rope. Her illness has taken a great toll on her life and specifically on her marriage! This has left her feeling removed from God, like He has forgotten about her or doesn't care that she is so sick. Now the doctors want to do surgery on her ovaries and many more rounds of Chemo on her lungs, and she is having difficulty making that decision to go on. Her fight for life has left her. She is depressed and feeling hopeless. The people that love her continually try to speak into her life and lift her up in prayer, but she has just had it!
Last Wednesday night Darren Canning from Canada came to preach at the River. He was awesome! Real, upfront and transparent...all great qualities for a man of God! Anyways at altar time he was talking about how that often wherever he goes to minister, the Lord gives signs and wonders in the form of "gold dust: or :"sprinkles", My young friend and I were standing together, and I had my hand on her back in what I was hoping was a reassuring touch. Darren and others had their phones using them like a flashlight looking at hands, finding gold dust manifesting when I looked at my friends neck and shoulders...she was sparkling! The more I looked the more I saw! When she saw what was happening tears flowed down her cheeks, and mine too! She knew that she knew that she knew that she was on God's heart! Although everyone saw the beautiful dust on them NO one was covered like she was! Her blouse was covered front and back before she left there that night. God is so faithful and loving! He knew that she needed to know that He was still there! I have talked to her just the other day, and she still is in the battle, but the Lord brought hope! I am believing for a full healing, in Jesus name!
